Dr. Nichols was born and raised in El Dorado, KS. He graduated from Eldorado high School in 1993 and later graduated from UMKC with his Doctorate in Dental Surgery. Dr. Nichols enjoys furthering his education and has completed extensive training in Implant Surgery. Dr. Nichols enjoys all aspects of general dentistry including implant surgery, root canals, crowns, and bridges. He loves working in his home town and providing the community with excellent dental care!
Dr. William Rasband is a fun and compassionate dentist. His enthusiastic chair-side manner will make your visits to El Dorado Family Dentistry as comfortable as possible while visiting the dentist. Dr. Rasband completed his undergraduate degree in Accounting before moving on to earn his dental degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in May 2009.
Dr. William Rasband continued in his professional path by returning to his home state, New Mexico, where he practiced in all areas of advanced dentistry for four years. He then decided to relocate to Colorado and start his own private practice before settling in El Dorado, KS with his classmate and business partner Dr. Tony Nichols.
Dr. Rasband believes that learning should never cease and he continues to participate in continuing education and spends time researching the latest advances in dentistry. Every year, Dr. Rasband far exceeds the minimum number of continuing education credits required.
Best of all, Dr. Rasband does something all too rare in our hurried society; he listens and helps patients make informed choices about their dental health. His hope is that within the doors of this dental home, you will find advanced dentistry with trusted relationships.
Dr. Suman Gorantla grew up in South India and graduated dental school with degrees in General Dentistry and Orthodontics. He was ranked first for the All India Post Graduate Dental Admissions Test and practiced in India for two years. When Dr. Gorantla came to America, he attended dental school for the second time! He earned his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from Boston University, his Master of Dental Science in Orthodontics from the University of Pittsburgh, and his Master of Public Health at East Tennessee State University. He received the “Compassionate Doctor” award while completing his General Practice Residency at St. Barnabas Hospital and is a past president of the Wichita District Dental Society.
Dr. Gorantla’s passion for orthodontics started when he was in dental school and followed his cousin, who was in his orthodontic residency. He saw firsthand what orthodontics can do to put smiles on the faces of young kids, and has made it his life goal to make a difference in kids’ lives. He really enjoys interacting with patients and families. Dr. Gorantla loves his team and enjoys coming to work.
Dr. Suman Gorantla is a board certified orthodontist. To earn board certification, an orthodontist must complete two to three years of additional training after dental school. Employing the highest standards of care and lifelong learning, board certification is a voluntary credential that reflects the personal commitment of an orthodontist. This achievement demonstrates expert judgment, skill and knowledge while pursuing continual education.
When Dr. Gorantla is not in the office, you can find him running around with his kids and spending time with his family.
